DIOGO PRIMO — 4TH DEGREE BLACK BELT

Diogo Primo started his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu path in 2001 at the former Alliance Barra academy, now the headquarters of Akxe BJJ. He was awarded his black belt in 2009 by Vinicius Campelo (co-founder of Alliance Jiu-Jitsu and founder of Akxe BJJ) and Octavio Couto.

He comes from a prestigious lineage connected to the legends Rickson Gracie and Helio Gracie, and brings years of experience on the mats — both as a practitioner and as an instructor.

In 2010, he moved to Munich, Germany, to establish the German branch of the already well-respected and traditional Akxe BJJ.

As a Brazilian black belt, Diogo leads his team with the same time-tested principles and competition-proven traditions he learned from his professors in Rio de Janeiro. His teaching style reflects an old-school approach to Jiu Jitsu — focused on discipline, respect, and deep technical understanding.

Diogo is known for his dedication to helping students grow both on and off the mats. He motivates his team through consistent hard work, personal guidance, and by passing on his passion for the art. For him, Jiu Jitsu is not just a sport — it’s a way of life that builds character, resilience, and community.
